The cornea is like a set of fingerprints, no two are alike. Therefore, no two contact lens fits are alike. To further complicate the matter, we all have different degrees of eye sensitivity, different blinking patterns, different quantities and qualities of tears.

Given all of these variables, we realized very early in our practice that if we were going to become specialists in the fitting of our contact lenses, we had to take it seriously...AND WE STILL DO!

We developed special testing procedures to determine who would be a candidate for contact lenses. The tests involve measuring the shape and contour of the cornea, as well as measuring for tears, blinking patterns, and eye sensitivity. During your initial examination we analyze many other aspects of your visual system including, muscle balance, eye health, focusing ability, and of course your prescription. The results are discussed with you, and a determination is made as to which type of contact lens fits your needs.
