Experience...makes a difference!

Did you know that a contact lens has to be observed and studied on many people before it is approved by the Food and Drug Administration? The F.D.A. has set very strict guidelines for contact lens manufacturers. This means that each time a company has a new lens to introduce, they select a few large contact lens practices to do a clinical investigation for them. Our office, and our patients have been fortunate. We have been chosen to do these contact lens studies for many of the larger companies such as: Bausch and Lomb, Ciba, Dow Corning, and Barnes-Hind

We have participated in the development of new soft lens materials, more comfortable gas permeable materials, and some very innovative, soft bifocal lenses. Since new types of contact lenses are being developed all the time, our research is never ending. Many times, before a new lens is made available to the general public, our doctors already have fit the lens on numerous patients. This kind of experience often enables us to satisfy the "hard to fit" patient who has been unsuccessful with contact lenses in the past.

Most medical problems that can occur with your eyes, such as: conjuctivitis, corneal abrasions, infections, or glaucoma, can be treated by our doctors right in our office. You can be confident that as Optometrists, we are highly skilled and competent diagnosticians. For those conditions that require more extensive care, we should still be the first office you call. Why? Because of our years of experience we know which specialist will best suit your needs and requirements. Whether from cataracts and retinal problems to laser vision surgery and cosmetic enhancements our office should be your source or referral and information.
